To fill or not to fill??

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if I need a fill at my next appointment next month. I've had 2 fills so far. There are times I pb especially when I eat meat or breads. I really have problems when I eat too fast or don't chew well. My question is, do i need another fill? Tonight, I ate a regular BLT with regular bread without any problems. I also have eaten birthday cake. I can eat a Wendy's hamburger and french fries but not a home cooked hamburger. Other times I have problems with foods that I didn't think would cause problems. I have lost about 40 pounds but it is slowing down now. I want to kick start my weight loss again and would like to get another fill but am afraid that I might PB all the time. For a while, I did alot of that. Please give me any advice you can. Thanks, KD

I had a similiar situation and decided to get a slight fill(point 2cc.) It seemed to make a difference with me. I feel full sooner but haven't had anymore PB's so far. I was filled on July 11th.

You may need a slight fill. How are you losing, at what rate? Are you hungry?

I am losing very sloooooooowly. I have lost approx. 40 pounds total but in the past few months I have only lost 6 pounds of that 40. There are times I am hungrier than others. I have mostly head hunger rather than stomach hunger. I thought if I had a very small fill, maybe that would help. I have talked to someone that had the lapband and she said there is no way she could eat bread, hamburgers, french fries. I normally don't eat these kind of things anyway, but I did try it one day. This may be a not so smart thing to do, but I thought if the band were tighter and it made me sick to eat these kind of things, I wouldn't attempt to try it again.
