Sonja 16 Posted October 21, 2011 I have lost 12 freaking pounds since starting my low-carb diet 9 days ago!!! I am super excited!! I put on 6 lbs since I first met with my surgeon. He said that if I am above that weight on surgery day, they cancel the surgery. I am now 6 lbs UNDER my initial weight & I still have a month before surgery. The best part is that the thought of eating something sugary or full of carbs kinda grosses me out. I never thought it was true that you lose the taste for it.... but you do!! Sonja 16 Posted October 21, 2011 Breakfast: 3 hard boiled eggs & 1/2 apple OR Protein Shake.< /p> Lunch: salad w/ meat or Protein shake Dinner: chicken, fish or beef & green leafy veggies (no corn, carrots, potatoes) I snack on turkey pepperoni ( I toast it so it is crunchy!), pickles, string cheese, SF Jello & SF popsicles. I have not restricted the AMOUNT of anything, because that is my problem. Right now I am just focusing on WHAT & not how much. It seems to be working!!!
