skinnynursebetty 23 Posted October 18, 2011 Hi fellow October sleevers, this is for those of you who have already had the surgery. My surgery is on Oct 27. I really want to know if you guys think I'll be able to do a little trick or treating with my kiddos??? I love Halloween and taking the kids out is my favorite. Let me know what you all think. Thanks so much!
AnneAC 5 Posted October 18, 2011 I think you will be able to make a few houses with the kids. On my 4th day post op I flew from San Diego to Houston and walked and walked in the airport...I was exhausted, but did it. I could walk down my street that same day and pass by about 12 houses. New start 4 Posted October 19, 2011 Hi fellow October sleevers, this is for those of you who have already had the surgery. My surgery is on Oct 27. I really want to know if you guys think I'll be able to do a little trick or treating with my kiddos??? I love Halloween and taking the kids out is my favorite. Let me know what you all think. Thanks so much! It is right around the corner for you! Hey, I am 5 days post-op and have been taking three 1/4 mile walks a day for the last 3 days- per orders of my surgeon. It helps move the air in your tummy, and prevents DVT's. So, as long as you don't have any complications, go in short stretches, and don't carry anything heavy ( like the kids!) you should be fine! Hope that helps, and have fun. Rebecca
skinnynursebetty 23 Posted October 20, 2011 Thanks guys, I'll just see how I feel and try and make the street at least! Happy Halloween!
courtines 6 Posted October 20, 2011 I think you will definitely be able to do at least some. My mom drug me all over the mall when I was 3 days out and I did fine, but I was really exhausted by the time I got home.
