It is so funny how different everyone is! I still can not handle potatoes, rice, white bread or any fried food. Those are good things to not be able to eat I guess. The problem is I eat Ice cream at least 3 times a week. Just a little but enough to make me happy!

Okay for some encouragement and fear of losing it - I went on vacation this last weekend to San Diego.< /p>

Friday night - Benihana's - drank the Soup broth, then the salad, maybe a tablespoon of rice then the shrimp, vegetables and some main entree of steak. Those who know this restaurant it takes time between courses and with Soup liquid first that just went through me to leave room for the good stuff.

Saturday night - Ruth's Chris - half a salad, one small lobster tail and 2 jumbo shrimp, a couple of bites of chocolate cake.

In between there was popcorn at the movies, ice cream cone (should have had it in a cup instead of cone).

With walking around the sites - I gained zero pounds and enjoyed the weekend.

There is life after the sleeve, don't fear slide foods - just don't make them a habit or overdo amount at any one time.

By the way at this point of 11 weeks, I lost 54% of the excess weight (the amount I should have lost in a year) so I am now losing through proper eating and exercise not the sleeve.

That's exactly my problem!!! I threw up a scrambled egg but PB cups go right down just fine. Not good!

Today I cut up a pear and had few slices with some cheddar cheese. Thankfully that sat well with the sleeve.

Does anyone else have no appetite in the morning? I can't stomach anything until about 11 am and then I eat a little bit every couple hours until about 5 or 6. Then I'm done for the day. Very weird!

I am glad to know that i am not the only one that can not eat untill about 10 or 11am. After all the vit and meds in the morning i just can seem to get any thing else down. But i dont eat again until 3 and then again about 7 and am done for the night. I am 18 days post op down 31 lbs and am struggling with my protien. I cant seem to drink the shakes they make me sick but i can do some mashed Beans very funny,.. IDK

popcorn is my biggest problem! I can eat lots of it and so when I am stressed I find myself eating it. I now have to limit myself to the 100 calorie bags.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
