babybig 2 Posted October 14, 2011 Is anyone else having this problem with Milk, Soy milk, Protein Drinks (Ive tried tons, with and without dairy) even hemp milk, and almond milk? If I drink a tiny little sip I am ok.... but even one 8 oz glass will get me sweaty and nauseated for about an hour. I would like to add some more Protein into my diet but i can't seem to add it with a Protein Drink. At first i thought it was just sensitivity to milk, so i tried soy and non dairy products and still got sick. cheese yogurt, and cottage cheese do not bother me at all. Any suggestions, ideas?? Anyone just having the same problem would be a relief to know. I am 6 months post op and have had this problem since i was able to drink these products. NikiS 31 Posted October 14, 2011 Are you putting milk you in your Protein drink/shake? I put Water in mine. Also, I don't know about other yogurts but Chobani has between 14g-16g of Protein. 1 slick of provolone cheese is 5g of protein. Not to mention tilapia, chicken and turkey all have protein. Beef and pork do too, but the first ones I mentioned are high in protein. I hope it works out for you. Be well, Niki
Fusilli66 22 Posted October 14, 2011 You can also try the unflavored Protein and add that to just about anything like Soups or puddings or Jello. Plus just try getting as much protein from food as you can.
lonnielou2 2 Posted October 14, 2011 You might want to try Isopure ready to drink - zero carb (It is not a Protein shake -its like a Koolade). They have 40 grams of Protein and not carbs. I like the grape ones:) I get mine at GNC Isopure Website
