I'm having Dizzy Spells...BAD ones. Not just "Oh I'm a little woozy" But like the kind where your vision goes dark and you're sure you're going to pass out, but within a few seconds you're ok.

It happened shortly after surgery for a couple of weeks and I figured it was just adjusting to the lower level of food, and maybe not being well hydrated. But it's started all over and much worse. What's going on?

Are you getting all your Fluid in? Did you have blood sugar problems previously? And have you noticed if you've gone a long time without eating when it happens, or does it happen even just after eating? Could be dehydration, low potassium, low blood sugar, you will probably need to see a dr to know for sure. You might want to add more fluids, like Gatorade G2 or Powerade Zero for the potassium and electrolytes. I hope you get it figured out soon!

I thought maybe I wasn't drinking enough, but the worst episode was on a day when I was sure I had drank at least 4 16oz bottles of Water. It doesn't matter when I've eaten.

I was just "undiagnosed" with type 2 diabetes...my A1C is 5.3 now which is normal.

It happens if I get up too fast, but not right away it's anytime between 3 steps and 20ft away from where I was sitting.

YES! I have been dealing with this the last few months. My surgeons were unconcerned as my lab work all looked fine. It happens every day, doesn't matter how much I get in, how fast I get up, it just happens :( Someone here suggested needing more salt, I'm working on it but I do not like salt so it's been difficult.

That is an extremely uneducated comment. Sodium is essential to life. Too much sodium is a bad thing, Too little Sodium is also a bad thing. http://www.medicinenet.com/hyponatremia/article.htm

all things in moderation.

That said. I don't think it's hyponatremia. I ate some fairly salty bean and bacon Soup sunday and today (home made yum yum) made with sea salt and the sodium in the bacon of course.

It could be a potassium problem. I'll call my Dr. in the morning and see what they want to do.

Does it happen about an hour to hour and a half after you've eaten? I've experienced that- I wrote a post on here a few weeks ago about how

I nearly passed out while I was driving my daughter to school. Very scary. Feeling lightheaded and dizzy can be caused by different things but

for me- it was because I was lower than I should have been on fluids and my blood sugar dropped. My doctor said my pancreas was over reacting

when I ate and that I should try to walk right after I eat- that didn't make a lot of sense to me but then I'm not a doctor so- go figure.

I do notice that when I'm real nicely in the higher end of ketosis - that I'm very fatigued, dizzy- prone to lightheadedness- but ketosis is where I

want to be in order to lose weight at a good rate- if I eat some carbs I feel pretty normal but then I move out of ketosis so-

I'm just resigned to the fact that I'm going to have to deal with it-

Most people I've talked to seem to feel fine- even great with more energy in ketosis- maybe over time it will happen for me-

Right now- I just keep an emergency pack in my car of stuff to raise my blood sugar in a hurry if need be-

Hope you get to feeling better and find out what's causing this dizziness for you.

I have had the exact same thing happen regularly. It's usually after I get up from lying or sitting. I get a little dizzy, blacked out vision and all. It only lasts for a few seconds and then I'm fine. I just had my bloodwork done and everything looked great.

I would be interested to find out what your doctor says.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
