I'm so very happy and wanted to share my story and pics ... some of you already know ... i was sleeved by Dr Aceves on July 29 ( uneventful) ... my best friend was totally against it, she call the sleeve an abomination. My husband left me 9 days after being sleeved, my one year old came down pneumonia, and my house had been on the market for nearly a year with no offers... ok so I had a heart to heart with my bestie ( we are great and she is super supportive )... i divorced my hub (who is still supportive and encourages me),my son made a full recovery, and I'm closing on my house and move to Atlanta in a few days... I'm already dating and loving it ... and i'm so happy i was sleeved.... :D from 3x to XL and so loving life right now ...

Haven't really been on here, I've been killing it at the gym ( 2 hours and day) and packing my house ... starting weight 247 and current 194... :D

P.S. the dress in the 1st after pic is the same one from my before pic my mom takes in all my clothes... love having clothes taken in instead of let out ... ; )

I'm still pinching myself ... it's so hard to believe ... I can't wait to update this in 6 months .....

i agree through it all i just tried to stay focused on the positive... the sleeve has been a big positive distraction for me... i think things would have been much worse if i wasn't sleeved ... Loving my sleeve!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
