Kettlenetics -- WOW!

Recommended Posts

I have been in an exercise rut -- mostly walking-jogging, with a weekly zumba class thrown in -- so basically my exercising has been all cardio and no strength training. I have known for while I need to be doing strength training but kept putting it off. I finally ordered Kettlenetics from Amazon.com to switch up my workouts and build in some strength training along with cardio. It is a 2 pack DVD set with a 4 lb. kettlebell. The workout is amazing. The first workout I did was just the introductory moves, which I did after doing a different cardio workout. At the time I thought it was a good workout but nothing to break a sweat over, but the next morning when I woke up my inner thighs were SORE and I felt a lot of muscles I hadn't felt in a long time. I did the full 40 minute cardio workout today and was DRENCHED with sweat. I am feeling it in my muscles already which means tomorrow I will probably be walking around like my 99 year old grandma.

I also had a very surprising and gratifying 3.6 lb. weight loss this week. I am sure at least part of it is due to this video.

I am 9 months out so my sleeve and incision sites have been long healed; I would not advise anyone who is newly sleeved (probably less than 3 months out) to try this video because some of the moves may stress your incision sites. But if you are looking for a new exercise routine to make you feel your muscles, and you don't like going to a gym to hit the weight machines, I highly recommend this workout. Now if I could only look like the instructor (this teensy little lady named Michelle Khai who has the most amazing body EVAH) ... not gonna happen, but just watching her is inspiring.

I too like the kettle bells... we occasionally use them at my boxing gym, I agree; they are a fab aid to a work out and really do use the whole body's muscles. Good for you to get them at home... keep up the good work and I am positive you will continue to see the inches decrease...=]

Was it expensive? I saw the kettlebells at the store and they were REALLY pricey . . . I've heard it's a good workout though.

It costs $30 on Amazon, which includes the whole shebang (2 DVDs, a 4 lb. kettlebell, and a little book on eating healthy and a sample yucky diet plan which I totally ignored). Here is the link if you are interested:

I saw an infomercial for kettle bell workout on T.V. one day but they wanted way too much for it. So I bought a set of Kettlebells at Academy sports fairly cheap and just do what I can try to conjur up on my own. But I just looked up on youtube and they have several kettlebell workouts. Looking forward to getting my workout on with these :o)

Agreed that between cardio and weight training you can get to goal. I do zumba 2 nights a week. (the instructor is going to 3 nights a week in Nov.) I walk 2 miles two days a week and then I do kettlebell for 20 minutes on the days I walk. I pretty much do my own thing with the weights, you can do your own routine. I watched several workouts on youtube and pretty much formulated my own. I am hoping to be at goal by end of year. :)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
