nicowill 0 Posted October 7, 2011 This is my first post on this website. I must admit I have been a "creeper" for a couple of weeks. I have really enjoyed reading posts from everyone with different experiences. I am currently 18 days post op. I was sleeved on 9.19.2011. Prior to my surgery I lost 25 pounds, since my surgery I have lost an additional 25 pounds. I am currently in the "soft foods" stage. In the grand scheme of things my recovery has gone fairly smoothly. I only needed pain meds the day of surgery and nothing after that. I had some issues with gas buildup early on but that all passed within a couple days of surgery. I have noticed that EVERYTHING tastes different to me now. This last week I have been adding in more "real food" to my diet, chicken salad blended smooth in the food processor, cottage cheese, saltines. I have now been experiencing pain after just a few bites. 3 saltines and 2 tablespoons of chicken salad and I am in pain. Is that the full feeling people are talking about? Although I am thrilled with my results so far I seem to have hit the dreaded WEEK 3 STALL and my scale has not budged in days. How do I break out of this stall? I am trying to "snack" a little today to see if I can get a couple extra calories in hoping that will maybe kickstart the weight loss again. I know that this is just the beginning of my long journey to the new me and I need to be patient, I just hope that I can get thru this stall and keep it going. Rootman 1,101 Posted October 7, 2011 Welcome and we all wish you the best as you start your new adventure. Don't get discouraged, we all have the stall at least a few times. I've been at 210 for about a month now and really, really want to get below 200 pounds so bad I can taste it. Stick with it, it only gets better from here on out!
