jillw8 22 Posted October 2, 2011 I had the same problem. I take benadryl. Same thing they add to tylenol PM but cheaper. Good luck!

swizzly 901 Posted October 2, 2011 I had insomnia temporarily after surgery for a while, but then I started sleeping again no problem, actually better than I used to sleep.< /p>
christin 54 Posted October 3, 2011 I am still pre-op, but when I am having trouble sleeping I take Melatonin. You can experiment to see which amount works for you. I take one to get me to sleep and 2 when I can sleep in (because it will knock me out for 10-12 hrs!) I have used Benadryl and Tylenol PM also in the past, but the Melatonin doesn't leave me feeling groggy in the morning.
MsC 0 Posted October 3, 2011 I am here to "second" both of the above suggestions!Just after being sleeved, I was having trouble sleeping for more than 3 hours at a time. My surgeon told me to take Benadryl -- which is a great sleep aid. It is available as a liquid (children's version) and often there is a store brand that is cheaper. My husband swears by Melatonin. Good luck to you and sweet dreams!
