meggspeggs 0 Posted September 24, 2011 I am one month out and have only lost 10 pounds. I lost more on my two week preop diet. I just don't understand. How can I be eating so little and only lose 10 pounds???? I am getting all my Water and Protein. Starting to wonder if I'm just destined to be fat..... Janae 12 Posted September 24, 2011 You state you lost more than 10 lbs on preop so you've lost more than 20 lbs in 6 weeks. That is fantastic!! Our bodies aren't machines that produce the same results every time. I lose weight in "clumps." For example, I had a 2 month stall from July 3 to Sept 3. Then I lost 9 lbs in 2 days. For me it is always like that. So don't despair!! Your body is adjusting according to its own schedule. You have lots of weight loss in your future!!
cam 15 Posted September 27, 2011 Relax, it will happen. Everyone goes through slow times. I lost 20 lbs right away, then nothing for a month. Then it picked back up. Just stay away from the scale, and instead enjoy your clothes getting looser. You will notice the inches more quickly than the lbs.
Infernored 5 Posted September 27, 2011 Yeah, I freaked out the first three months. I had really high expectations. I see my aunt who has been out 2+ years and she still loses a little here and there. I just take a moment to realize I eat way better than I ever did. I eat way less than I ever did. and I exercise way more than I ever did. I feel better than I have in years and look better too. I will be satisfied that this is where I am at this moment. And for the first time I will look forward to the future. chin up!
