Buckeye Girl 8 Posted September 22, 2011 I am 12 days out and after I eat or drink, I often get these loud gurgles in my throat. It feels like I need to burp, but burps don't come out, just these audible gurgles. Also, sometimes I may not feel full in my sleeve yet but I feel full in my throat. I just started an acid reducer, but haven't noticed a difference yet. Any thoughts or suggestions? 1 CarolinaSleeve reacted to this

I just started an acid reducer, but haven't noticed a difference yet. Any thoughts or suggestions? Hi, I'm just over 10 months out and I still get the loud gurgles. I also get the full feeling in my throat if I eat too much sometimes it's reallllly painful. I've learned now to stop before it gets to that point because that last bite no matter how good it is, is not worth that 30 minutes of pain. I usually get a hiccup and that's my signal that I'm full. It'll take some time to get used to all the signs of when to stop eating/drinking.. 1 CarolinaSleeve reacted to this
jillw8 22 Posted September 23, 2011 I think it is pretty normal. If you think about it your esophagus and stomach are basically one long, connected tube. If we overeat, even a couple bites or swallow air it is going to come up your throat. That's my logic anyway. 1 CarolinaSleeve reacted to this
Buckeye Girl 8 Posted September 24, 2011 Thanks, both of these replies make good sense. I guess I need to pay more attention because I get the full feeling in my throat, but don't feel it in my sleeve until after I stop. Thought I was eating slow, but maybe I need to slow it down some more. Other than that, I'm feeling great!
