Sleeved this morning!

Recommended Posts

And so far, I'm doing great! I have done 21 laps around the floor, not too much pain, been ableto get up unassisted! Just being sleeved has boosted my confidence, I am on my way!

I do figure tomorrow will be harder but its one day closer to being healed!

I'm officially in the loset's club!

thank you for all the well wishes. I came home today and am doing pretty well. I now see how hard it is going to be to get the food/protein in but will figure it out. I currently have a Water bottle of Water, unflavored Protein and some Torani Hazelnut Syrup. Been drinking it since 4 and only a third of the way down.

I'm not in a lot of pain but have a buddy ball pain medicine and am still walking.

I have to say, I was in a room with a girl who had the roux n y (sp) and she had to be cut open, hers was done on Monday and they are keeping her an additional day. She was miserable!! But she also was fighting everything and everyone. I felt so bad for her. Glad that I did the sleeve!!!

Well off to walk some....

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
