ugh i am sooo freaking annoyed right now i just wanna scream! i totally need to vent...

so im having some "issues" with my band right now. nothing horrible just some discomfort and problems getting food down within the last week or so. My dr recommended getting unfilled and then coming back in a week once things have settled down and having it refilled... PERFECT right? so i go to make an appointment for the next week THAT THE DR RECOMMENDED THAT I HAVE....and they have NOTHING for an entire month. I mean come onnnn...NOTHING. im not so much pissed that i am unfilled (of course in a week i will be probably mad about that too once i start gaining weight!) im just so agrivated that they are soooooooo freaking inflexable!!!!

I am soo freaking bummed right now u have no idea. I called and left a message for the person that does the scheduling but im not sure exactly WHAT i should say. I dont want to be mean but at the same time i want them to know that i am very annoyed.

any help or other frustrations with simmilar experiences would be appreciated!

Dr Travetti. He is part of a group located in Hackensack NJ. They used to be really great...but i have been noticing the last few times i have been there how busy they are and that they have been totally slacking. They need to realize if they are THIS BUSY they need to figure out how to manage the drs time better. Am i right?

That is why they hired a couple of nurses at the clinic I go to to do fills.

But, most definitely make it known that you are dis-satisfied...they won't change anything if they don't get the feedback.

I can understand your anger/frustration!

I work in a medical office - I run the front for 9 therapist - and when someone REALLY needs to get in we make an exception. I would call and ask to speak with the Office Manager, and explain that you understand how busy they are, but that you are unable to wait that long for a fill. Ask to be put on a cancellation list and then call every morning and every afternoon to find out if they have any cancellations. Whomever you speak with the first time, ask for her by name, it will help make her accountable.

How frustrating...I'm sorry that you're going through this. The least they can do is call you if/when they have a cancellation.

If you call enough, throughout the day, begging for a cancellation and making yourself a pain in their butts i bet you they will magically find an appt available for you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
