Hi All,

It's been a while since I posted but...I have an question. I was banded on June 19th and I haven't lost one pound since my first post op visit. That was four weeks ago. I do not have a restriction and can eat without feeling discomfort or full. Is this normal? Will it change when I have a fill? I see the Dr. on July 25th. Very confused and frustrated.

What are you eating? Have you been tracking your calorie intake? If you don't get in enough calories you will not lose weight. Exercising? I've read here that the first weeks before your fill are for healing and that any weight loss is a bonus.

Not losing, and even gaining a little, between your surgery and first fill is perfectly normal. Especially, if you have no restriction. Like disneynut said, this is a time for healing, not losing. My doctor made it very clear to me the time to lose would not be until I had my first fill. And, I didn't lose a pound between my surgery date and first fill. But, since getting my fill I have lost almost 10 pounds. So, be patient and continue to allow yourself to heal. Once you start getting filled, you will see the weight begin to come off.

Thank You, Guess I'll just have to be patient. It's hard though. But...tonight was my first Water aerobics class. So hopefully that will help.:D:):P

I am going through the same thing. I have put my first fill off until the middle of august since I will be near my Dr. in Mexico. I am staying right where I am for over a month. Has anyone heard of a size or amount you can eat when you are not filled. Or when you are not filled, can it still cause you to over expand your pouch? Someone help, no one has ever been able to tell me.....
