I have been looking into that body shape wear advertised on this website. Leonisa or something. Has anyone tried these products? How were the results?

I don't know but one thing I am sure of, the people they have modeling the stuff sure as hell don't NEED it.

Sorry, just had to vent :)

I use whatever I can find on sale, but I really like Fleexes brand for stuff. They have knock-offs at Target and Walmart which are cheaper and probably work just as well. Also you can hit up Ross and TJMaxx for higher end Shapewear at pretty discounted prices. Good luck...I almost always have a fleexes T or cami on under my clothing.

A great way to burn calories and break a sweat  is to put on a pair of Spanx - by the time I get into the under-garment, I need a shower! BTW, buying a size larger or the less control version doesn't work either - at least not for me. Whew! Makes me tired to think about it. Is there another type to slim the butt and thighs that is not a huge effort to put on?

LOL! I hear ya! I have wiggled and struggled into some spanx before. I am drawn to those Leonisa because they offer butt lift styles and options where the butt isnt covered (buttless pants) and therefore won't flatten or diminish my scant booty.

OMG! I thought it was just me being too fat!

I hear ya on the "hurts the ribcage". Plus, if I ever got the thing on I'd never be able to go to the bathroom ALL day! Whomever is in the stall next to me would think I'm wrestling alligators in the loo just trying to put the thing back on.

You know, I am actually bigger around with my body shaper on than off. It's just that I love that smooth way that your clothes hang when you wear one. I hate to see a big girl with a belly roll hanging over the top of her waist band. I'm like get you a body shaper and rein that puppy in gal. Just because you're fat doesn't mean you have to be floppy! I weigh over 300 lbs and have people tell me that I look nice often. Good undergarments, believe it or not, can make all the difference in how you are viewed; as pleasantly plump and voluptuous or as a fat slob.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
