favoredone 590 Posted September 7, 2011 Hey!!! Welcome!!.. I'm in month 3 of my 6 month Medically Sup. Weight Loss Program.. I believe the insurance company looks at your initial weight and BMI... For me I've had complete blood work, EKG, Chest x-ray, and I'm having a stomach scope done Saturday.. Also, I believe you can use the forum search for pre-op tests and some helpful threads will come up. wishes 125 Posted September 7, 2011 It depends on the insurance company and when they check your weight to determine coverage. The only worry would be having too low of a BMI, but I would call and ask if they check your weight at the beginning or end of the 6MSWL. And I agree with the favoredone, normally, there is at least an ECG, blood tests, upper GI, and then a chest x-ray.
