Post op 1 week....question

Well I made it through the surgery and my first week! I haven't felt too bad at all. Been walking outside. Been meeting my Fluid and Protein requirements, barely some days. I have follow up with doc tomorrow!

Here is my question:

What should I expect pain wise? I am still having a lot of shoulder pain and occasional left upper quadrant pain. Is this pretty normal?

How long does this diarrhea last!?

I had the shoulder pain for about a week and a half. I did not have any abdominal pain at all. Once you start solid food diarrhea should stop. I am 3 weeks post op myself and feeling good. Just remember all are bodies are different and this is just my experience.

wow! That is amazing that you were able to get Fluid and Protein requirements so early. I hope I'm that lucky. My surgery is the 17th.
