LaurenKorea 1 Posted September 5, 2011 Since my surgery since June 26th, I have not had any real sweets. Today I found some sugarfree Werther's Orginal Classic Cream candies. I live in Korea now so options are limited. Anyways, it tastes just like the regular ones. I also got 40g packs of chicken breast Jerky. (Only 109 calories for the whole bag!) Here is the nutritional information for the candy.< /p> 70g per bag 10g per serving-approximately 3 candies calories-29 carbs-8.7g sugar-o protein-0 fat-0.9g saturated fat-0.6g trans fat-under 0.5g cholesterol-0g Made with isomalt. I thought this was a great find but if anyone feels differently, I would appreciate your feedback. We do not have sugarfree popsicles and other low cal goodies in Korea so this is probably going to be my only sweets allowed. ( I eat 2-3 a day)
feedyoureye 3,087 Posted September 5, 2011 I love those too. I get the hard kind, they even come in coffee or mint flavors. I just keep it down to three a day.
HDubSleevery 25 Posted September 5, 2011 When I was pregnant, they had these great lollipops that helped with nausea. I completely forgot how satisfying hard candy can be since then. I may have to pick up some of these the next time I am out. Thanks for the recommendation!
kellyw74 258 Posted September 5, 2011 I have the Werther's sugar free hard candies too. I have one every once in a while. I also like the sugar free Russel Stover candy. The Peanut Butter cups are really good. Reese's makes sugar free cups also, but Russel Stover's are better believe it or not! Kelly
SKCUNNINGHAM 298 Posted September 5, 2011 I try to stay away from hard candies. The less I have sugary candy (whether real or fake) in the mouth, the better I do. My "treats" for the day are the two Calcium chews I take. I use the ones that are the consistency of caramels. They come in chocolate, caramel or vanilla flavors. SInce I'm not eating candies - these taste GREAT to me. Now, I do upon occasion use SF popsicles or SF fudgesicles (rarely) or SF pudding. If I didn't have access to those - I might not draw such a hard line on the candies. Good luck to you!

I had surgery in one of the hottest summers in Korea so I would have given my soul for some SF popsicles! I envy you guys in the stateside. I will not make this a habit. I was just afraid I would start eating regular candy. I teach here so I always have a box full of them on my desk.

I only remember eating stover's candy on Valentine's day. They weren't that great. I never liked Peanut Butter cups but you got me craving for one.
