My doc doesn't focus on a specific number (just on Protein and Water, ) but wants us to avoid the simple carbs and otherwise empty calories.

Personally I don't go over 30 carbs a day and nothing with over 4 grams of sugar

The first three months under 30 grams of carbs, since then I usually have 60 and under. Besides the once in while sweets I stay away from all simple carbs, they make me feel sick. I do wish chocolate made me feel sick though!
