Flatout Flat Bread

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I haven't had bread since before my liquid diet started and I just wanted some LOL. So in food Lion, I'm looking at the nutritional value of the many many choices and getting depressed, then I saw FLATOUT FLATBREAD.

Here is the nutritional breakdown per slice:

90 Calories (nice size too)

6 Net Carbs

0 Sugar

2.5 grams of fat

9 grams of Protein

I got the Light Italian but they had other flavors with about the same nutritional value. I'm thinking this could be used for pizza and cut one up and season to your liking, bake in the oven until crispy and eat with hummus and it was good as a wrap too. The 9 grams of Protein is what sold me on it and it didnt' taste bad either.

Thought I would share :)

I'll have to look for that. Eggface makes pizza on whole-wheat low-carb tortillas, not sure how those taste but I'll be doing a lot of experimentation! I do remember trying to make some sort of egg-based Pizza Crust when I did Atkins years ago, and it was GROSS. I'm hoping that I can eat carbs sensibly and continue to lose without having to be militant about the low-carb thing.

I used to eat Flatout's all the time on Weight Watchers. I loved em!

If you are missing bread, you might want to look at the Julian Bakery. Good stuff especially toasted. They specialize in low carb baking.

Also there is a link I am posting below. There is a recipe for something called "oopsies" they are really but not like the bread at Julian.

pizza Dough...

Look at this link. Cleochatra has a wonder pizza dough recipe. It was even featured on Dr. Oz.

There are all sorts of low carb recipes on there.

PS:

I am really new here and hope it's okay to post links? If not, I am sorry. Let me know and I wont do it again.
