Holy SH.....T!!!! I HIT GOAL!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

For the first time ever in my life, I have succeeded in weight loss!!!! My hubby has never seen me this light ( though I have been smaller- I really hope the saggy skin on my lower body keeps shrinking as it has). But who cares if it doesn't!!! My only worry about this whole self image thing is..... When I catch a glimpse of my face in a mirror, I see my mom!!!! Weird.........,

Wow - congratulations! To paraphrase Martin Luther King - "You are on the mountain top, looking at the promised land!" How wonderful! Enjoy your achievement, and living life as a healthy, thin person.

Congrats to you! What was your secret? Are you working out? When was your surgery date (how long did it take to meet goal?)

I just updated my ticker and realized I am a half a pound from a normal BMI too! I will be 8 months out on Sept 6th and was hoping to reach goal by the end of October... I have 9.6 pounds to to go! It has really gotten harder these last 2 months - in August I only lost one pounds so it is really creeping slowly now. Hoping to still reach my goal before the snow flies here!

Again - congrats on your amazing transformation - this journey is a blessing to all of us!

Kim

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
