staceybea 0 Posted September 1, 2011 I was sleeved on 8/16 which is only a little over two weeks out. I stuck with only liquids until the the 25th when I tried mashed potatoes. They went down okay but I only ate about half of a single serving size. I am having no problems with Jello or applesauce and was even able to tolerate a few bites of well chewed macaroni and cheese. Lastnight I was also able to handle a few bites of well chewed spaghetti. I've tried the pureed Soup and just cannot do it. My nutrition plan says that I would do week 1-2 full liquid and weeks 3-4 pureed. Is it bad for me to skip pureed and move into well-chewed soft foods if my stomache can tolerate it? Any advise is greatly appreciated!!

Any advise is greatly appreciated!! It is not about you tolerating it, it's about how healed your suture line is... if you rush into pureed foods too fast you could cause an issue with your suture line.. Take it easy and try to follow your dr. notes as best as possible.... Good Luck!
KristeyK 3 Posted September 1, 2011 I'm with Razrback...I wouldn't do it. Plus...this is the point where the weight is melting off, try to make it last as long as possible. The thing that keeps me on the Clear Liquids and Protein shakes is my scale. I LOVE what it's doing and I know that adding in food when I shouldn't could drastically slow it down. Good luck!
