what do you eat at 7-8 weeks out?

Recommended Posts

Hi, i'm 7 weeks out and I don't think I eat enough. I was wondering what others eat.

for example, today I had just some salmon and very little mashed potatoes for supper and a Protein Shake in the morning.

Yesterday I had a hard boiled egg and a Protein shake too.

Some days I get 2 Protein Shakes and some chicken. In fact I get very little calories. How about you?

Hi! Is there anyway you can go back and visit with the nutrionist at your surgeons location? Or even call the nut?

At 7 weeks out I was doing great,, fat free cottage cheese, string cheese, chicken, seafood, burger (no bun).. I would have a protien shake in morning , a protien bar at mid day snack.. I pretty much would eat 4-5 small meals all day long...just to keep fuel in my body..

If you are only eating a protien shake in the morning (which goes through you), then salmon & mash tatoes for dinner you are not eating enough at 7 weeks out...just my opinion which is why I really hope you can contact your nut, to get more on track with food/meals...

Good Luck...& take care

The problem is not that I don't know what or when to eat, is just that I'm not hungry. I can see a nutritionist or my nut, but I don't see how they can help me with my hunger, or the lapse of it.

thank you all for your answers!!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
