M2G 1,836 Posted October 10, 2011 I am now in love with shredded chicken. Place chicken breasts in about 1 cup of chicken broth and leave on low for 8 hours or high for about 4-6 hours and take out the chicken before serving and run your fork through it. YUM. I've done it with taco seasoning and also with BBQ sauce...you could add whatever seasoning you like. Leftover meat in our household *always* gets eaten later or the next day! 1 emelia.larock reacted to this
Texasmom65 23 Posted October 11, 2011 I made stew meat tonight in the crock pot with salt, pepper and added Steak rub spices with Water. Then the hubby ate it with rice ( I buy the minute rice single serves). I can just eat the meat, soft and tender. Last week I put chicken breast in the crock pot with cream of mushroom Soup and added white wine....YUM!! Again hubby ate with rice. I've aslo done the stew meat with added red wine to it. Really good.
nraeh 23 Posted October 11, 2011 We like pork chops (or pork steak) with a can of cream of celery and a can of cream of Tomato in the crock pot. My hubby puts the Soup on either mashed potatoes or rice. The pork is so tender and very tasty.
lonnielou2 2 Posted October 14, 2011 I love the Slow Cookers BBQ Pulled Pork. I eat it alone, but hubby and kids have it on Buns. If you look in the spice section of the store you will find slow cooker packets (like the taco mix). It comes with all the spices and instructions. I buy the crockpot bag inserts to save on the mess... ILKrista 36 Posted November 11, 2011 I just bought a cookbook called 300 Low-Carb Slow Cooker Recipes: Healthy Dinners that are Ready When You Are by Dana Carpender. So far everything I've made has been good! You might want to see if your library can get it for you before you buy it... LOL, I'm a librarian, so I have encourage people to do this before they spend money on something they may not like.
