You walk into a room and all eyes turn to you .... no longer invisible, nor "Lisa has gained so much weight"

You feel comfortable in your own skin again and your self-confidence has come back full force and shows.

Winter is back and I must say I haven't felt this cold in years! This might be the only downside from weightloss but damn I am freezing all the time.

When you do the math and realize that you've lost over a foot from your waistline. When the first digit on the waist went from a 4 to a 3, it was life-changing (Started as a 52, now a 38).

Funny that stores now seem to have a boatload of jeans and pants in my Old sizes (44 x 30 seems to be popular at WalMart)

When your slip falls to your feet, your underwear falls as you walk, many comments calling you "skinny", having elation when you buy a medium- it fits ok but a small would've fit even better!!????

When your collar bones come out of hiding

I loved this one! It just made me feel more pretty and feminine.

I WISH! I have always loved collar bones that show, but mine never do -- no, not even when I'm super thin, they don't stick out at all. I broke both of them when I was a kid, so maybe they just didn't grow the same after that. *pouts* But I love semi-fitted t-shirt tops with 3/4 sleeves and biiiiiig scoop necks -- and collar bones would look so fab with them. *pouts again*
You could try using makeup along your collar bones to accentuate them. Just a little dusting of highlighter powder or cream blended in very very lightly is all it takes. The light will hit the highlighter and they're easier to notice. I love doing that in the summer, but if they're showing in your outfit, it'd be just as fine in other seasons. Send me a message if you'd like some more info to decide whether you want to try it. I can send a tutorial and a couple brand suggestions.

When I get into the tub and my body is actually under Water and my stomach is not sticking out!

As an avid bubble bather, this is something I really relate to. Can't wait to hit this one! Not there yet, but it's coming! Congrats!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
