one week to my surgery

I have the go ahead from my insurance and the date for my surgery. Now I am having second thoughts. I have read a few horror stories and i really need to see some success stories... please help

I had my surgery on the 16th. I can't tell you that it was all a bed of roses, but it didn't last long. I had a rough 48 hrs after surgery and then 2 more days of not doing so well, and then it changed and has continued to get better every day. I know some people have a very difficult time and others, none at all. I can only speak for myself when I say, I have no regrets at this time. I feel I am progressing much like when I had my gallbladder out 2 years ago. The only advice I would give is, if you need time afterwards and can take it, take it. Don't rush yourself. You will need time to heal. Good luck, owl
