kr1sy 1 Posted August 19, 2011 Feeling great and loving my sleeve...for the first time ever, I really believe I can reach my goal weight! Still can't believe that I weigh less than 200 lbs...I can't even remember the last time I was under 200. My mind has not yet caught up with the loss though. For example, I have a small ladder with a weight limit of 250. I used to climb on it very carefully, well aware that I was over the limit. I was on it the other day and was thinking, "I have no business being on this ladder when I'm so far over the weight limit!" when it hit me...I'm way under the weight limit now! LOL Things like that. A few days post-op... 198! OH MY GOODNESS, YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!! WAY TO GO!!! Your story gives me hope. I was sleeved on 5/2/11 and I was 303 pounds 2 weeks prior to surgery and 293 day of surgery. You give me hope. Now I really do believe I can get to my goal. My goal is 150. Can I ask what your diet and exercise plan is?

Lindsey 0 Posted August 20, 2011 OH MY GOODNESS, YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!! Thank you so much! You can definitely do this! As far as my diet goes, I focus on Protein. I still have good restriction, so I don't fit in much else. I would say I low carb it, but I'm not as low as a lot of others I know with the sleeve. Maybe if I had done that I would be at goal by now, who knows. Most of my carbs for each day come from my myoplex lite Protein Bar that I love for Breakfast and peanuts. I love peanuts and they are an easy snack, but my weight loss seems to improve when I cut them out. I track everything on MyFitnessPal...if you are on there and want to friend me, my username is Johnso53. My calories are usually around 800-900 now that I am over 8 months out. As far as exercise, early out, I was walking a lot and then I added swimming. I was swimming either .5-1 mile a few times a week. The past month and a half my swimming has been much more sporadic because I got distracted with moving, but my goal is to get back into it regularly in the next 2 weeks. I'm also going to add strength training because it is supposed to be wonderful. Wish me luck!
