lifechanges 3 Posted August 19, 2011 Mine recommended the Carb smart yogurt from Kroger. Not sure if you have ine of those by you or not? It only has 4 carbs.
Nancy Rivers 24 Posted August 19, 2011 You want to use the Greek yogurt that is not "pre-sweetened" - no fruit, no honey, no jelly. Carb Smart, Fage Total or the like that are plain. You can use SF syrups like Torani or Da Vinci to sweeten up the yogurt if needed. This will get your carbs lower. The yogurts that are pre-sweetened have way too many carbs. You want to be on a relatively low carb, low fat, high Protein diet for the first 6 weeks at least (possibly the first 6 months) to 1) allow your sleeve to heal and 2) so you will start burning your fat reserves instead of getting your energy from the carbs that are in the food. It will help promote the faster weight loss that is expected in the first 6 months.
Heatherr 149 Posted August 19, 2011 Plain greek yogurt does not have that many carbs. I'm thinking you got the sweetened kind. Get the plain and add sf Syrup as pp suggested. It's also nice to use as a dip. Just mi seasonings in it, dry ranch dressing, dill, garlic and herbs, etc. and it makes a great dip for veggies or meat.< /p>
