Hey everyone. I got sleeved this morning at about 10 AM Pacific time. I will detail my experience when I am a little less doped up. All the good things I heard are true. Ernesto, Yolanda, Sergio, Dr. campos, Dr Aceves, and all the nurses are wonderful. I have never been treated so well during a medical experience. Heck the last time I got this kind of service I was at Emeril's Restaurant. I am being a total tourist and taking pics of everything.

So far I have no complications. I am experiencing nausea any time I sit up straight and walk more than 5 steps. Dr Campos says this is normal for some people and I should be better by morning. Eith I am on super pain pills or I don't have gas. Lol! I have a small pain on my left side but that is it so far. I am so happy with my choice. I have my 2nd drain test tomorrow so I will post back then.

Yay Sexi Mexi!!!

Woohoo! I've been checking the site all day for your update and I'm so glad you are feeling well...at least well for being just operated on. Did you meet anyone on your floor?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
