JackieOMonroe 123 Posted August 16, 2011 I'm sure it's probably more carbs that you would normally want, but I had sushi at 6 weeks out and it didn't slow my weight loss or disagree with me. I was only able to eat 1 and a half pieces of a seared ahi roll before I was quite full. I wouldn't make it a habit in the losing stage, but if you have a craving go for it. Rev Me Up! 75 Posted August 17, 2011 The rice does not sit well with me - too sticky and starchy. Otherwise, it is quite healthy. I eat sashimi or special rolls, but I pick out the inside and leave the rice on the plate. Some places make "protein rolls" that are wrapped in cucumber slices - no rice. They are awesome!!! june13sleever 223 Posted August 17, 2011 I eat whatever I want whenever I want. I can't even eat alot so I stay around 500 to 800 calories a day. I hate eating anything that isn't mushy, but would love a california roll. I just wouldn't want to buy more than three small ones because it would be a waste. I only buy things that last and reheat well. Even if I am not eating the raw sushi I still feel funny eating things a few days after.
DESERTDOC 3 Posted August 17, 2011 Sashimi is great, pure protien, and no carbs. It is nothing but fish. Rolls, sushi has rice, made of simple short-chain carbohydrates that spike blood sugars and energy, then crash.
