My stomach has been so sick since the swallow test, it will not digest properly, becoming painful at times, afraid to leave the house, or eat , yup it's that bad

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the 5 day pouch test is? I am 3 1/2 years post surgery and was doing great until the last year and I am very afraid I heading into gaining all my weight back. I just never thought I would gain the weight back. Anyone out there having a similar problem?

I have really good success with the 5:2 diet. Mondays and Thursdays I eat as little as possible. You're supposed to try for 500 calories but I usually go over and it's about 700. 12 hours between last meal and first meal, longer if possible. I have almonds at 10pm so I can't eat Breakfast until 10, longer if possible.

The other days I eat low carb . I lost all of my regain doing this before, and kept it off for 2 years but last year I had back surgery and could not exercise and the holidays and my birthday bla bla bla I gained back 15 and have lost 5 of it.

not confident when i gain weight i will get rid of it.

@@reallyrosy

eeeek bud

don't think that way

KNOCK IT OFF  ;)

if you (or me) gain a few lbs

say to yourself you WILL loose the weight again

that's the only way to go

it might take a little longer, that doesn't matter

you will get there

remember this is a marathon - not a sprint

saying oh no - weight won't go back down

might as well eat more again

gain more, oh well!!

Stop Stop those bad feelings

otherwise i must come over and slap you

i know where you live!! !!!! LOL

you must have confidence in yourself

I have faith in you :)

you must have it for yourself too!!! (please bud)

you can get back on the right track

you know what to do

now get with it!!! smirk, smirk

good luck my friend

I'm 3 1/2 years post op and I've gained 20 pounds in 1 1/2 years. I've been doing 16:8 and I haven't lost an ounce. I'm scared nothing is going to work! ID love some insight...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
