What are your favorite NSVs?

What are/were your favorite Non scale Victories? Especially the surprise victories....

Here are a couple of mine

Clothes that were way too small are now way too big.- I tried on a pair of too small pants, hoping that I could at least get into them, only to find out that they were too big to wear! Total happy dance.

Crossing my legs again!

I haven't gotten to it yet, but I can tell you what I am really looking forward to..

being able to go the thrift shops and buy old t-shirts and such. I love old vintage clothes, and can't get into any of them now. I can't wait!

Anyone else notice how much cheaper regular stores are? At the big men's shop, a pair of levis were $85... I just got a pair at Target for under $20.

Plus the selection is a lot better!

That's true!! Eating out is SOOOOO much cheaper now!

Usually my wife gets a meal, and I just take a little off her plate. if I get my won meal, then I get something that I can plan on eating for lunch for the next 3 days or so.

1. Shopping in the regular misses department

2. Fitting in booths

3. Fitting in roller coasters

4. Husband can now get his arms around me

5. Less inhibited sex/belly not in the way

6. Not afraid to walk around in my underwear

GREAT POST IDEA!

YES! I cannot believe all the ugly clothes I used to wear, especially in the 80s and 90s just because they were all I could find in my size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sex with my husband just gets better and better

His arm reach around to my sides now when he hugs me

Guy friends of ours now treat me like a woman, rather than one of the guys

My chin is disappearing, and my cheek bones are reappearing

I can run if i need to

I can play with my kids without getting tired

This is just with the first 50 pounds gone. I have another 200 to go, so I am sure that my life is goin to change dramatically.

I love not having to engage in strange yoga positions to get my seatbelt fastened in the car...

I love that my chest now eclipses my belly when I look down.

I love that all the clothes I hadn't been able to wear are now getting loose.

I love that people who don't know I have the band are asking me if I have lost weight.

I can't wait for more!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
