Hello to all,

I have visted this site a few times never posted before just sort of lurked, I was banded Jan 9, 06 in puerto vallarta by Dr.Armando Joya. I had my first fill May 15 by Dr. Mathew St. Laurent in Houston,Texas. While I had an excellent experience with Dr. Joya when I came to get my fill I found out he had put the larger band usually reserved for men, making it harder for me to feel restriction and more difficult to adjust. Dr. St. Laurent has been great he is working with me and is very supportive. I'm at 4.5cc's My start weight was 245 I'm down to 200. I should have lost more by now but I must admit I was majorly slacking thankfully I am back on track now.

:( :speechles

Hola,

If you are down from 245 to 200 right after surgery that is very fast weight loss. Was that with your preop diet?

No, I actually really didn't do any preop diet just tried to eat less a cpl of days before surgery and nothing 12 hrs before. It's been 6 months since my surgery Jan. 9th so it's actually not that fast.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
