Feeling tired

Recommended Posts

:bored I was banded on June 7th 2006 and am feeling really tired. Does anyone out there have that feeling? I thought that is might be the dieting but am not sure and have no one to compare notes with.

Well how much have you lost, don't keep us in suspense? What do you eat and drink? Do you exercise? Are you a diabetic?

No I'm not a diabete. I've only lost about 23 pounds. I'm eating what the doctor tells me to eat just more of it. I was banded last week first time and he told me 2 table spoons full of food, well I thought that was a little restricted so of course ate more, about a half a cup or so. No problems though.....:faint:

:( Heyyyyy you have got to move. You know when you are sick and you are in bed the bed just drains you.

Call your doctor and let them know how tired you are. If you are not taking your Vitamins, I am sure you should and if you doctor says it is ok, you should start walking......start walking in place for 5 minutes or so and build it up. Start lifting 2 pound weights when you are watching your favorite show.

Carol Carol Carol. You are doing great! Your weight loss is wonderful! If you are tired, it may be a lack of protien. Tell us what you are eating these days.

Also, you are banded last week July 7th, or June 7th, as in your first post? That makes a big difference. Give us a sample diet, we'll be able to advise better.

I'm wondering if you are getting enough calories? Also, could your Iron be low? Also, could you be going TOO low on carbs? Also...are you taking a Multivitamin? Also...hey, your body is going through MAJOR changes. I slept a lot after surgery.....

I was extremely weak and tired for about 2 weeks after surgery. Then I felt great. But lately I've been suffering with insomnia. I've tried everything to sleep at night. My doctor has even prescribed sleeping pills but they don't work either. I'm really dragging.

Hi all of you.... here is what I'm eating refried Beans, cottage cheese, yogart, cream of wheat, eggs, etc... Yes I do take a mutivitamin, flintstones chewables complete. Also I eat tums 2 everyday for calcuim. As far as the amount I eat till I'm full and that is alot more than the doctor who told me 2 bits is all I need Ha Ha. I wonder if I'll ever see that 2 bits and I'm full day come.

I had my first fill on July 8th and banded on June 7th of 2006. Anyone have any ideas of what to do and your experience of how full you were when you were first banded.

Carol. your weight loss is great but you have to make sure your getting the protien. I will never forget my nurse drilling it into my head that I need get in 60 to 80 grams of protien a day along with a multi Vitamin. You may want to add a good whey protien shake to your diet.

I don't know if this would help anyone, but the smoothie King Gladiator 20oz smoothie has 45 g of Protein, and if you add an extra scoop it gives you 67 g of protein. it's a great way to get in protein without getting so full...and it really does seem to give me more energy

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
