This is the first time I've tried some "food". So here's what I'm eating right now:

1/3 cup Tomato Soup pureed with 2 tbsp medium salsa, then heated. On top I added 1/2 once finely shredded cheese (which is melting in the soup) and 1 tsp sour cream. Also added some ground pepper.

I never thought I'd be so freaking happy to eat some generic condensed Tomato Soup but this is actually pretty good. Oh, and the Soup is warm, not hot. Not sure I could do an extreme hot or cold yet.

Just thought I'd share :)

I'm not allowed tomatoes or Tomato Soup for the first month, but my first month is considered 'modified solids/full liquids' so I can have cottage cheese, soft cheese, yogurt, strained cream Soups, refried Beans, etc. Today was my first day for full liquids rather than Clear Liquids.

I did well at b-fast with 1 oz cottage cheese/1 oz unsweetened applesauce. However, I tried a string cheese at lunch and couldn't finish it - I'm not sure if the feeling was "full" or if it was just too much too soon on my baby sleeve, but I was able to finish 1/2 oz of it and 1 oz of sugar-free chocolate pudding. I'm going to try strained cream of mushroom Soup for dinner - an oz of that and probably another oz of applesauce.

I was sleeved Weds - I only had to be on clear liquids for 3 days but now I have to be on full liquids for the rest of the month. My nut's definition of 'full liquids' seems a little more broad than others, though. I can't have tomatoes for 2 months because of the acidity.

I'm on clear liquids until my first followup, the 23rd. Honestly not sure if I could eat anything, Protein Shake is the only non clear I can have and it sis like a brick! Some clears do too.

Sounds yummy but I couldn't even think of having anything that spicy! Even black pepper bothered me. I"m 6 weeks out now though and still haven't had Tomato Soup. I guess it's time to give it a try! Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Also, my first two weeks I was on clear liquids and the 2nd two weeks full liquids....my surgeon is really tough! lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
