Norman 1 Posted August 12, 2011 OK I have this irrational fear that the surgeon put a band in me instead of the sleeve like I wanted. I know there are certain things like everytime I go to the docs office they all mention how is my band. I also feel like I have a band and I can feel someone that I think is a fill site. How would I know the difference? I am very scared.
Tiffykins 673 Posted August 12, 2011 Get your medical records with op reports including the release forms you signed before surgery.
Day Dreamer 23 Posted August 12, 2011 Can you just ASK them?!?! My Dr office ask how is my band, but that is because they do so many more bands than VSG's. I remind the nurse every time that I do not have the band LMAO!
JimmyGotSLEEVED 270 Posted August 12, 2011 Jus check around your belly button area and feel for a port. If you don't feel a port you don't got the band... Easy huh lol
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted August 15, 2011 The port isn't near the bellybutton. I will tell you that my port scar was very different then the little keyholes for the laproscopic surgery - the port scar was more of a thin line. I think the people in the docs office are just saying band since that is what they mostly do...
