Hi, I had my surgery 3 weeks ago. Is anyone else having trouble wearing jeans or tight clothing? It hurts on the left side the next day so bad??? Anyone else with this problem??

Well I am about 2 1/2 weeks and it bothers me to wear a waistband anywhere near my incisions and you are right... esp. the left side. I am still wearing these stretchy capris with a soft easy waist band. I have started wearing a "Sweet Nothings" top as my belly is starting to get kind of jiggly and that bothers me when walking fast or exercising.

I wear those too. Those are the best tanktops!!!! I really help stabilize everything!!!

I have the jeans problem also but as my pants get looser, it's getting better

Re "sweet nothings" tank tops-- where do you buy them?

Can get the tanktops at Wal-mart. They come in all different colors...

I have the same problem almost. The pain in my left side has finally stopped. But the fixed waist band of my low rise jeans are still a bit uncomfortable. I believe my tummy area is still swollen a bit and I'm attributing that for the tightness in the waistline as my jeans are loose in the hip/thigh area. I recenly purchased Danskin capris from Walmart with elastic waist and are super soft, I could leave in these things.

Yes that is what I am wearing Danskin Capris. I love them. They are so stretchy and soft I think I will be able to wear them for awhile.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
