Mae8217 2 Posted August 11, 2011 hello everyone! So, My surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday the 17th and I'm getting seriously nervous. I have never had surgery before and I'm afraid of it all from the stupid catheter to the gas pains. I'm more than excited to start this journey and get my life back, but I can't get past these nerves! I need some encouragement. This site is awesome, thank you everyone. SmokyMtnGal2011 10 Posted August 11, 2011 Nerves are normal as with any surgery. You will be fine. You are in capable hands with your surgeon and staff and you will be in the hospital. All will be good. Follow their instructions as it isn't their first rodeo even thorugh it is your first. It will not be as bad as you imagine so don't stress. Just ask for pain meds, walk, meds, walk. Keep us posted on your progress. You are going to be a great inspiration to us!!!!! Best wishes and healing quickly angels!!!!!!!!
