rubyspring 1 Posted August 6, 2011 Those are good questions to ask both your doctor and nutritionist. I will say your recovery period will be a good bit longer than for many of us that work in offices. I have a 3 wk restriction to 10 lbs and then 3 wks to 20 lbs. After that I can lift what i want. Good luck.
SeattleSue 25 Posted August 6, 2011 HAHA I thought this was going to be a post about before and after PS It will be 4-6 weeks before I'm sure they release you to lift heavy stuff. A lot of us are drinking fluids like "normal" at about 3weeks post. We target 60-90 gr Protein per day to protect our muscle, but you would probably need more. Good news is Protein shakes = Fluid = hydration. Check with your team of professionals...that's their forte. Good luck.
mp8btpc 33 Posted August 6, 2011 Like everyone said please express these things to a physician but as for the Water drinking. I was worried at first that when I worked out I would not ever be able to drink enough to quench my thirst because I couldn't hold enough and amazingly when extremely thirsty I can get a great amount down. You will just have to do it often but I am sure you are constantly drinking in that sort of heat.
