Let's give a team shout out to trizzy35, happyevraftr, BigManIndia who are all having surgery today!:D

We have 3 batters up so for those of us who have already run the bases let's cheer on our team as each one gets their turn "at bat".

For those of you in the lineup we are cheering you on as well as you go the the liquid preop stage..Not easy at times!

So....Go Team Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

(If you see an advertistment next to this post it is not from me!:o )

As one who is up to bat at this exact moment---THANK YOU!!!!:D I need all the support and prayers I can get! Will be doing my surgery last today because I have had the band before and he wants to take his time and not rush...which is GREAT but leaves me feeling more anxious as time goes on...Anyway....will post as soon as able, and again thanks for the support, thoughts, and prayers!!!!

Good luck trizzy35, happyevraftr, BigManIndia. As my date looms, each day I think about "who's having surgery today?" and I go to the calendar and check it out. Can't wait to get to MY day. I hope the three of you breeze through your day today with it being as uneventful as possible! I'll be looking forward to hearing about your success.

Yep, all settled and watching tv.....I do feel bad though because Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos came in to see how I was doing and I had dropped my phone on the floor, and the first thing that popped out of my mouth was "I dropped my phone" and Dr. Aceves kinda reprimanded me saying "You need to say hello first"...so I replied "I just didn't want you to step on it, I'm sorry" It is my only link to hubby and kids--so guess I blundered that one! Hope he doesn't take my rudeness out on me when he takes the drain out!:( He was very professional, and many people on here said he had a great sense of humor, but I have yet to see the humor--maybe just having a bad day!dry.gif Or I could be still woozy from surgery and my take on others may be skewed! Anyway--have a great night and thank you all again for your prayers and support!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
