Has anyone tried the Protein Ice Power shot from ANSI (Advanced Nutrient Science) I was looking at the ad. It has 32g of protein in the form of whey isolate. It is only 4 oz. It has occurred to me that it might be good for travel or for when I return to teach. Sometimes I have lunch duty so I really don't have a lunch time.

According to a website that I found that sells it, the ingredients are:

Ingredients: Triple-Filtered Water, Pure Protein Isolate Blend: (Ultra-Filtered whey Protein Isolate, Enzymatic Hydrolyzed Protein Isolate), Phosphoric Acid, Citric Acid, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Malic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose, Yellow No. 5 and Blue No.1.

My surgeon and dietician told me to make sure that the FIRST ingredient is Whey Protein Isolate or Soy Protein Isolate and to stay away from blends since they were not a "complete form of protein". In this, it's the 2nd ingredient that is a BLEND. I'd be suspicious of using it. I would check with your surgeon/dietician to know for sure.

Thanks, I will check with them on my next appointment. I am nervous about getting everything down when I go back to school. It is nothing to take away a teachers plan period or take their lunch time away or both. It happens all the time.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
