So Its been 1 1/2 week since I had surgery and I'm still sooooo tired and just want to lay around. I have a 1 and 3 year old that want to play outside but I just don't have the energy to do it. Is this normal if so when does it start getting easier? My husband is starting to get annoyed with me I feel horrible but I need to take care of myself so I can take care of the family.

I was really super tired the first two weeks. Then I could feel myself slowly getting stronger. Everyone is different, but take it easy as you can and let your body heal. Sorry hubby is annoyed. Did you expect to heal faster? If there is a support group near you, perhaps you could get hubby to attend one with you? There he will meet other people who've had the surgery and now have more energy than ever before. And they can say how long it took them to get back to full-time normal life. If that's not an option, then maybe just a sit down where you explain you simply can't do it all right now and you guys work out what you can do that would be most helpful. Like maybe he really hates changing diapers, but is OK making dinner? Only you know your situation at home. If he's just being Jerky, then maybe you need to push back.

One thing to keep telling yourself is that is does get better, and in a fairly rapid time frame!
