63 lbs and still going strong at 6 months out--75% of my excess weight. Don't go by pounds, heavier people will lose more than lighter people, but the percentage of weight lost will be equivalent between light and heavy. For example, if someone has 100 pounds to lose and loses 25, they have lost 25% of their excess weight, but if someone has 200 pounds to lose, 25% of their excess weight would be 50 lbs.

I had my surgery on May 15th of this year.. I am now 2.5 months out and I have lost 42 lbs. Still have 70 lbs to go. So I guess I have lost what 40% of my weight.. I think.. not so good with the math.. Good Luck.. and dont worry it will come off.. And each person is different so you will loose a different amount than anyone else.

Goal in less than 5 months. I love my sleeve. Follow your surgeons diet plan, excercise and stay hydrated and you will be at a place you never dreamed possible. The other day Sleeve4me and I were laughing over her buying a size 4. Giggling really. But the crazy part was a year ago we both would have been estatic with a size 14. Now we are both wearing size 4. NEVER did I dream this big or "small"

No regrets. I love my sleeve.

I've lost 51.2% of my excess weight over the past two months. That includes the 13lbs that I lost on my 2 week pre-op diet.

I have lost 45 pounds in 90 days. I am 57 y.o. and I was told by many forum folks that i should expect less of myself since I am over 50. Well--I feel really good that I followed my surgeon's post - op protocol, set goals, and have not been a mindless whiner like some people on the forum. This is a journey of Self-determination. Your surgeon is giving you a 50% leg up over all other Americans--the other 50% is YOUR responsibility to create and follow a program that works for you. Read my other posts for details on how I did this weight loss so quickly and so consistently.

Here are my Before - After pictures [so far] on YouTubes

I have a video journal on YouTubes, plus lots of food ideas--please subscribe to my channel so I can help you along the way. Don't be a whiner--be a winner in this journey.

I had my surgery 5/9/11 and have lost 40lbs since then. I lost 55lbs pre-op making my total 95lbs lost!

I have lost 83% of my excess weight and have gone from a size 22 to a loose 12.

Don't base yourself on what other's do. You will do fine if you follow your dr.'s guidelines and exercise.

Kelly ;)

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
