LUCYCAT 6 Posted August 3, 2011 I had my VSG surgery on Monday August 1st. When they were wheeling me out the recovery room my stomach was growling. My surgeon said my surgeon said I did so well I could go home on Tuesday. I was told 64 oz of Water and 60 grams of protien shake. My stomach and bowels growl and make noise constantly. I can't drink hardly anything. I have managed half a bottle of Water today and half a can of protien shake. I feel hungry. I honestly didn't expect to feel hungry...and i couldn't even eat a sugar free popsicle. is this normal?
fairyfaye 9 Posted August 3, 2011 The noises are normal for some and not others my mum and me were sleeved together and her tummy constantly talks to her but my tummy is as quiet as a mouse until I eat and then only talks for about half hour. As for the hunger, are you taking acid meds? Again I don't need them but my mum does and we are 12 weeks post op. also try drinking Water to see if it's real hunger of thirst. Wishing lots of luck and sending healing thought! X
