Muscle Milk Banana Creme flavor

Recommended Posts

I am so picky about what I can drink. I hated all Protein Drinks I had tried and was very worried I couldnt do the Liquid Protein. I just hate everything. They are chalky, oily, dont mix well, I just cant do it. My DH bought Muscle Milk in the banana creme flavor. I dont even eat bananas. I was like, OH GREAT. I do, however love banana flavored candy, like laffy taffy. I am on day two of my preop liquid diet and have a caffeine headache from hell. I had to drink it. I popped the top before leaving the driveway in case I had to heave. I took a big sip and it was freakin delicious!!!!!! Im telling you it tasted exactly like banana laffy taffy! I love it! I drank it all in short order and wanted more! Also, I felt instantly better. The headache subsided some and I felt like a new person! I am just so dang thrilled to have found a Protein Drink (20 g per 11 oz) that I dont just like or tolerate, I love! Just thought this might help someone else who is struggling to find a Protein drink they can drink.

I am in the second week of pre-op and discovered Muscle Milk at CVS when I could not get home for a shake. At 20 g of Protein and 100 calories, I was able to have 2 for a meal. I liked the chocolate best.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
