Chili on full liquid

Recommended Posts

My NUT told me I can eat anything that can be blended in a blender on a full liquid, but I'm still questioning somethings. Did anyone blend chili and if so did it cause problem? At this point I've been living off of pudding and don't think I can do another bit without getting sick. I can't to Soups they make me gag I'm very picky so I'm running out of options and I have a week before I go on to soft food so I really needs some ideas.

I'm just 3 weeks out and just tried chili the other day while I was still on pureed foods. It went down well, but I couldn't eat too much of it due in part to the spiciness of it (and it was a little thicker than I had been eating).

Do ALL Soups make you gag? Surely there has to a Soup you can tolerate...? (Pureed chili would basically be soup) What kinds of foods do you like?

Unfortunately there's really not a lot of ways to make the full liquids part of the diet better. It's just difficult, especially if you can't eat Soups.< /p>

Some people can do cottage cheese on full liquids, maybe that is an option for you?

I blended chili after I got to the puree stage at 3 weeks. During the full liquid stage I couldn't eat any blended food with solid particles that can't fit through a strainer. Hope this helps.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
