ms2damngood 0 Posted August 2, 2011 Hi everyone, I am new to this website, I just joined today. I had my surgery July 11th and so far I've lost 16 lbs. My doctor had me to loose 12 lbs before my surgery but I lost 15 so in total I've lost 31 lbs. So, I am very pleased with things so far except for this portein! I am having a hard time finding a Protein shake that I like so I'm not getting as much Protein as I should. This is driving me crazy! I gag thinking about those thick shakes. I've tried muscle milk and the protein powders and I hate them both! Also, I am starting to feel hungry, is that normal? I can only take 1 or 2 bites but I am hungry like an hour later after. I have not had any complications thus far, I work out 5 times a week and sometimes twice a day. I am so proud of myself, I didn't know I had it in me:-) Good luck to you guys on this journey and new life style!
razrbakcrzy 9 Posted August 2, 2011 Very normal, you are only drinking fluids so they drain through you sleeve fairly fast. I suggest you get some sugar free popcicles they have been my crutch.. If you really hate the thick shakes try Isopure from GNC mixed with no sugar added fruit juice and a shot of MIO strawberry/watermelon drink enhancer... This is the only way I could get it down you might like it as is, i did not.. it has 40grams of protien per bottle... plus it will help you get in some of your fluids... try the green one not sure if it apple or watermelon flavor...but its the best one...IMHO...... Good luck and welcome to the group...
mamamckinzie 92 Posted August 4, 2011 Yep, the green one from Isopure is the best. Have tried Syntrax yet? they have quite a few to choose from and you can order a sample pak
