Sheenan 0 Posted July 29, 2011 I had surgery on Tuesday and I'm having a pain in the back of my left calf but it's only when I'm walking around. I called the dr office and the nurse said it doesn't seem like any complicicarions but I'm so worried it could be something.
Stacy160 201 Posted July 29, 2011 First, start documenting those calls... when you called, what time, who you talked to, and what they told you, in case you need it for future reference. Chances are the muscle's just tight from not being used much, since most of the time when you're not on your feet, the muscle's in a shortened position. Could be low on some electrolytes as well, but that would probably present as twinges and spasms in the muscle. And of course, the big worry would be a blood clot. Monitor it closely and if it starts getting worse, you notice swelling, hardness, or redness, go in ASAP. Hope it's nothing!
