wannalose 0 Posted July 28, 2011 I am in my 5th month of my 6th month supervised diet with my doctor. I weigh 260 and have lost nothing in the 5 months. I do go up and down but pretty much my body likes that weight of 260. I am curious if this is going to effect Insurance approval or if my doctor is going to tell me that I needed to lose weight during the 6 months. I am struggling so much with this. I know my doctor thinks I'm a super slacker. What to do, what to do......
lovePINK 31 Posted July 28, 2011 Well my insurance says I have to complete the 6 months WITHOUT EXCESSIVE weight loss so I haven't lost anything im actually 3 lbs heavier than where i started
wishes 125 Posted July 29, 2011 Only if your insurance says you have to then it shouldn't be a factor in your approval or if your surgeon says you have to. Good luck!
TheSweetesThing84 0 Posted July 29, 2011 I know exactly how you feel. I'm in my 4th month. During my second month lost 5 lbs and went back third month and gained ten....This is the story of my life everytime I lose weight I gain twice that back. I am also a stress eater, so the pressure Im feeling in the 6 months is not helping at all. But as long as the doc is notating well you should be good, but some insurances do have a stipulation of 10% weight loss...Call your insurance company and ask. I like to get the info straight from them and call twice to make sure Im getting the right info. Good too you and just stay Prayed Up!!!
losetobemeagain 9 Posted July 30, 2011 Neither my dr or insurance required me to lose weight before surgery, as a matter of fact I actually gained a few before surgery ( not saying you should gain ) I would call my insurance company and find out if they require you lose and ask your dr. if he requires it.
